“Jollibee Spinwheelmania” link circulates on Messenger

Listen to article

A link that seems to appear as a “Jollibee promotion” is currently making its rounds on Messenger.

Once clicked, it shows a page telling the user that they have 123 free meals left and that to receive the free meal, they must continue sharing the “spinwheelmania” link until the bar fills up. Clicking on the share button and allowing the bar to fill up seems to lead a user into spamming their contacts on Messenger with the link. It is currently unknown how the link first circulated.

We’re urgently warning readers to ignore and not click the link as it could be a virus, malware, or a phishing scam. If you’ve already clicked the link, remember to change your passwords to be safe and secure.
