Kodak Charmera now available in the Philippines

Kodak Charmera is a Tiny Digital Keychain Camera That Comes in Blind Boxes

Kodak has officially launched the Kodak Charmera 127

Built in collaboration with Reto, the Charmera is designed more for fun and nostalgia rather than serious photography.

The Kodak Charmera comes in a blind box format, which means you won’t know which of the seven available designs you’re getting until you open it. (Just like Hirono Figures or Labubu Pop Mart Trend) one of which is a special transparent edition.

it’s extremely small and lightweight, measuring just 58 × 24.5 × 20 mm and weighing only 30 grams, which makes it easy to clip onto your keys or bag.

Inside, it packs a 1/4-inch CMOS sensor with an effective 1.6-megapixel resolution, capable of capturing 1440 × 1080 JPEG photos and recording 1080p videos at 30 fps. The lens is fixed at a 35mm equivalent with an f/2.4 aperture, so you’re getting that point-and-shoot feel minus the bells and whistles.

The camera supports microSD cards up to 128GB (not included), charges via USB-C, and has a small built-in battery rated at around 200mAh. There’s also a simple optical viewfinder plus a tiny LCD for composing shots.

To spice things up, the Charmera comes with 7 built-in filters (including black & white, warm, cool, and pixel-color effects) along with 4 vintage-style frames to add that retro aesthetic.

As expected, this isn’t meant to replace your main camera, it’s a quirky collectible that’s all about casual fun and nostalgia. Think of it as a toy you’ll bring to parties or random shoots just for the vibe.

In terms of pricing, the Kodak Charmera retails for around ₱2,000 per blind box and ₱12,000 (pack of 6) in the Philippines. Local availability has been confirmed through Henry’s Cameras 593 and JG Superstore, with more listings expected to appear on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop in the coming weeks.

Would you pick one up for the fun of it, or do you think it’s just another gimmick?
