LG Unveils Bendable 5K2K Gaming Monitor Ahead of CES 2025

Listen to article

LG is at it again, dropping major tech news just before CES kicks off.

This time, it’s a 45-inch UltraGear OLED Bendable Gaming Monitor (45GX990AB).

The company is calling it the first 5K2K-resolution bendable OLED display, and it’s certainly one of the more unique entries in the world of gaming monitors.

This monitor can shift from flat to a deep 900R curvature with ease. One moment it’s a straightforward flat panel, and with a quick adjustment, it’s a fully immersive curved display.

Gamers who crave that wraparound feel for racing or FPS games but also need a flat screen for work or regular use won’t have to pick one over the other anymore.

To put this in perspective, LG’s claim of being “first” focuses on the 5K resolution, as other bendable displays have been around.

Corsair dropped a 3440 x 1440 version a while back, and LG even has its own bendable 4K OLED TV. This model, though, ups the ante with the higher resolution and gaming-specific features.

LG hasn’t said how much this display will cost.

We’ll likely hear more details, including pricing and release dates, during CES 2025. Stay tuned.
