The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) offers free antigen tests to consenting random and volunteering passengers at Antipolo, Cubao, and Recto stations.
In line with the directive of Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Art Tugade to help curb the spread of COVID-19, the LRTA — along with the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) and Philippine National Railways (PNR) — is offering free antigen tests to consenting random passengers.
In a tweet, the LRTA said that the free testing will occur from Monday to Friday. Check out the schedule below.
• Antipolo (7 AM to 11 AM)
• Cubao (9 AM to 4 PM)
• Recto (3 PM to 7 PM)
As of January 12, 2022 (10 AM), there were 34 passengers tested at Recto and Cubao stations: 28 with negative antigen results and six with positive antigen results.
The LRTA said that they will deploy teams composed of a nurse who will administer the test; an encoder who will document the passenger’s information; personnel who will label the collected specimen; and a safety officer/marshall who will control the possible influx of passengers who agree to be tested.
