LTO to Filipino Drivers: Lose Your Temper, Lose Your License, Forever

LTO Chief Markus Lacanilao isn’t mincing words, if you get caught in a road rage incident, you could lose your driver’s license for life. The agency’s new stance aims to crack down on reckless and aggressive behavior on Philippine roads, where tempers often boil over due to traffic, stress, and lack of discipline.

Lacanilao stressed that anyone who lets anger take control behind the wheel “shows a clear lack of discipline and emotional control” and is therefore unfit to drive. The move is part of the LTO’s push to promote accountability among motorists and restore order on the roads.

With stricter enforcement measures on the horizon, the message is clear: driving is a privilege, not a right and losing your cool could cost you that privilege forever.

  1. Bobo talaga LTO, as literal na bobo. Selective ito, kung mayaman ayos lang pag mahirap iyak ka nalng.

  2. LTO is acting as though they were disciplined and competent and had moral ascendancy over all of us road users. NO. LTO has always been the incompetent and ignorant transportation agency on earth. Kamusta na ang action nyo against smoke belchers? Against unlicensed drivers and riders? How about riders who do not wear a helmet and only wear slippers? And when will you act on e-trikes and slow moving electric transport vehicles unsafely and stew peedly mingling with tax-paying vehicles on theroad? These slow-moving vehicles should be banned from national roads! If only you were not the indolent pot-bellied fat ahsses, the city and the rotten transportation sheit would have a better outlook. Eh wala naman kayong alam kundi mangolekta ng registration fees. Ang dami nyong sinisingil, mag bigay man kayo ng kahit tatlong copies ng cheaply-printed OR.

  3. if they want order restored, they should make monitoring and panghuhuli sa roads 24×7 like what singapore and other countries do. that way discipline is instilled in the context of Big Brother looking at you from anywhere and anytime. So what does this LTO chief want, when a motorcycle sideswipes you as hit and run (which they do 90% of the time), chill ka lang ok lang, gasgasin mga sasakyan chill lang.
