President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. promises to provide internet access to all public schools in the Philippines by the end of 2025. He announced this during his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA).

He noted that nearly 12,000 public schools nationwide remain without internet access. He put an emphasis on the internet’s critical role in achieving ‘Bagong Pilipinas’.
‘Kaya sinisiguro ng DICT at DepEd na bago matapos ang taong ito, magkakaroon na ng koneksyon sa internet ang lahat ng pampublikong paaralan,’ the President said, as reported by GMA News Online.
Marcos also added that the first three phases of the National Fiber Backbone project have been completed. Having this done strengthens digital infrastructure across the country.
In addition, the number of Free Wi-Fi sites nationwide has grown to 19,000 in 2025. This is a large increase compared to 2022, where the country only had 4,000 sites.
To improve internet access in far-flung areas, the government has distributed over a million SIM cards. This move gave free data to public school students and teachers.
Additionally, new cell towers are being constructed in other remote areas to ensure consistent coverage across the board. This initiative is part of the government’s broader push for digital inclusion and infrastructure development across key sectors, including education.

Hopefully you can do it. Not empty promises.your track record are full of empty promises.lets just hope but not to expect so we wont be dissapointed.
