Microsoft has officially started rolling out its much-awaited Recall feature for Windows Insiders using Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs. With the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26120.2415 (KB5046723), users can now try out Recall (Preview) and Click to Do (Preview), two new AI-powered tools designed to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Recall (Preview):
- The Recall feature uses AI to save screen snapshots, making it easier to find things later.
- It’s completely optional and requires user consent, with all snapshots stored locally on the PC.
- Windows Hello authentication is required before accessing Recall, adding an extra layer of security.
- Users can search for past content using natural language or scroll through text and visual matches.
- Sensitive information like passwords and credit card details are automatically detected and excluded from snapshots.
- You can pause snapshot saving anytime, with a handy system tray icon for quick control.
Click to Do (Preview):
- A new AI feature that offers quick actions based on recognized text or images in snapshots.
- Text-based options include copying, searching, opening links, or sending emails.
- For images, you can perform actions like sharing, visual searches, or removing backgrounds.
How to Try It Out:
