Netflix starts Household verification in the Philippines

Netflix has been planning to start charging for Password Sharing for some time now.

It looks like the first steps toward that new change has started. Today, we opened up Netflix in our office TV and got greeted by this.

This is the first time this kind of verification happened to any o the 6 or so TV units we have at home and in the office.

One of the features that was introduced last year was an “Add a Home” which allows account holders to share their account with another household for additional fee.

Soon enough, we might also see additional charges pop up whenever we login to new TVs outside of our homes/offices.
