Based on the report of ABS-CBN News, the incoming Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) commissioner Lilia Guillermo urged social media influencers and other professionals to ‘register, issue receipts and pay their respective taxes.’

“Marami rin nakikitang citizens ang tataas ng lifestyle nila, yet kung compare mo taxes na binabayaran nila, ma-question mo rin: bakit ang dami mo properties? Display mo pa nga.”

>(A lot of citizens are seen with high lifestyles, but if you compare that to the taxes they pay, it makes you question: Why do you have so many properties? And they are even on display.)

Included in this lifestyle check are those among the ranks of the BIR itself. The incoming BIR chief clarified that there’s no need to add new taxes if the tax collection will be efficient.

Oh yeah? Why don’t they do a lifestyle check of their own people first? See how a one peso gov’t monthly income can make a five peso purchase weekly.

Its unfortunate that even the vloggers are being targeted by BIR, no matter how succesful they are, since they are earning from a foreign (offshore) streaming
service who already taxing them from their earnings, will be taxed again locally.
Its kinda GREEDY in nature, (once a person is succesful you’ll be taxed and we
    are only after your money).

If i were those popular vloggers, i will segregate their vlogs in into series or
topics into multiple channels and MULTIPLE DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS where
the owner the channel is the same person BUT their name and the account
they use to signup in Google AdSense does not fall into the real OWNER
(preferably name it after the people WHOM THE OWNER OF THE VLOGS
trully trust specially with their financial assets) in that way the earnings they
will get IN THOSE SEGREGATED VLOGS will not accumulate into a single
account which the UNFAIR TAXATION SCHEME OF THE BIR will inflict more
    damage OR HIGHER DEDUCTION.

SEGREGATE THE VLOGS INTO MULTIPLE CHANNEL where its EARNIGNS
FALL INTO the SMALLEST TAXATION SCHEME OF THE BIR.. In that way
they can maximize their earnings without the BIR being too GREEDY for
    MONEY to TAX them UNFARILY.
