Nikon Z9 priced in the Philippines

The mirrorless Nikon Z9 is Nikon’s new flagship offering in the realm of professional cameras, dubbed as the “ultimate Z camera.” Notably, Nikon claims Z9 to be the world’s first truly blackout free electronic viewfinder, being freed from the mechanical shutter. Now it is available in the Philippines with the price of PHP 299,990.

Nikon Z 9 Handheld

The Nikon Z9 boasts a 45.7MP CMOS sensor, 8K / 30 fps video recording, and the four-axis 3.2-inch touch screen. However, Nikon believes that the Z9’s biggest selling point is its complete elimination of a mechanical shutter due to what they tout as the “world’s fastest image scan rate.”

Nikon further states that the quicker sensor scan rate is made possible with their all-new EXPEED 7 image-processing engine. Compared to its predecessor, the Z7 II, the Z9’s sensor speeds are now approximately 10 times faster. This allows for significantly smaller amounts of rolling shutter distortion, even when shooting at 1/32,000 of a second. Additionally, this new processing engine provides a wider dynamic range with ISO ranging from 64 to 25,600 (Expandable from 32 to 102,400). The processor has also brought improvements to white balance, enabling it to more accurately reproduce skin tones or product colors.

In terms of hardware, the Nikon Z9 sports a four-axis 3.2-inch touch compatible monitor and a Quad-VGA panel viewfinder that is capable of up to 3000cd/m2 (nits) peak brightness. For design, it touts a rugged design that is 20 percent lighter than the previous D6 model and made from magnesium alloy chassis.
