The Nintendo Switch 2 has been confirmed, set to be announced ‘within this fiscal year’.
According to Nintendo’s President via X, we should be expecting the announcement of the successor to the Switch by March 2025.
He also noted that it’s been almost a decade since the original Switch was announced officially. While the actual hybrid gaming console was released in March 2017, the incoming announcement doesn’t necessarily indicate a launch date.
We’ll probably have to wait months again until we get more news about the Switch 2. In addition, the company mentioned that they will be holding a Nintendo Direct next month.
However, Nintendo also insisted that they will not be mentioning anything about the Switch’s successor during this event. The event will focus on games coming in the second half of the year instead.
In that regard, we’re still excited to see what Nintendo has in store for us with the Switch 2 moving forward. Leaks and rumors are surely on the way prior to the console’s eventual announcement and launch.
