OnePlus Pad 2 Pro Debuts in China, Shares Specs with Oppo Pad 4 Pro

OnePlus has officially unveiled its latest high-performance tablet, the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro, now available in China through the Oppo online store. While marketed under the OnePlus brand, the device shares its DNA with the recently introduced Oppo Pad 4 Pro, offering nearly identical specs and features in a different skin. This approach mirrors OnePlus’ broader strategy of leveraging Oppo’s hardware platforms while maintaining its own brand identity.

The Pad 2 Pro stands out as a premium Android tablet with a strong focus on performance, display quality, and battery life. At the core of the device is a 13.2-inch LCD panel boasting a crisp 3,392 x 2,400 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 900 nits peak brightness—ideal for immersive multimedia consumption and fluid productivity tasks. Despite the large screen, the device maintains a sleek profile, measuring just 5.97 mm thick (excluding the camera bump) and weighing only 675 grams.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a flagship-level chipset, with configurations available in 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM, paired with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. The memory combinations are spread across four variants, ensuring flexibility for different performance needs.

Battery life is equally impressive, thanks to a massive 12,140mAh battery, which supports 67W SuperVOOC fast charging, allowing users to juice up the device quickly. The Pad 2 Pro also supports reverse charging, letting it double as a backup power source for other gadgets when needed.

For connectivity, the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro doesn’t hold back. It supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, offering blazing-fast wireless speeds and improved stability for multitasking or streaming high-definition content.

Camera-wise, the tablet includes a 13MP rear camera alongside a color spectrum sensor, with an 8MP front-facing camera tailored for video calls and meetings. While the rear camera sports a distinct oval housing, it’s clear that the Pad 2 Pro is designed with communication and media use in mind rather than photography.

Out of the box, the tablet runs on ColorOS 15, Oppo’s custom Android-based interface. This is standard for OnePlus devices sold in China and integrates optimizations and features tailored for large-screen use.

The Pad 2 Pro is available in two elegant color options: Gray and Navy Blue. Despite its flagship-tier hardware, OnePlus has priced the tablet competitively. Here are the official pricing tiers along with their approximate equivalents in Philippine Peso (PHP):

  • 8GB + 256GB – CNY 3,199 ≈ PHP 25,592
  • 12GB + 256GB – CNY 3,499 ≈ PHP 27,992
  • 12GB + 512GB – CNY 3,799 ≈ PHP 30,392
  • 16GB + 512GB – CNY 3,999 ≈ PHP 31,992

The OnePlus Pad 2 Pro undercuts its Oppo-branded counterpart slightly in terms of pricing, making it a more attractive option for users who want a flagship tablet without stretching their budget.

As of now, the tablet is only available in China, and there’s no official word on global availability. However, given OnePlus’ history of expanding its hardware portfolio to international markets, there’s hope that the Pad 2 Pro could eventually reach the Philippines and other regions.
