OPPO A5 Pro launched in China

The OPPO A5 Pro has been launched in China as their newest addition to their midrange offerings. Its key features are with its durability and connectivity.

The device has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and FHD+ resolution. The screen peaks at 1,000 nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Under the hood, it sports a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset and a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

For cameras, it has a 50-megapixel main shooter with OIS paired with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, it has a 16-megapixel camera for selfies.

This phone will run on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box. Plus, it packs a sizable 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W of SUPERVOOC fast charging via USB Type-C.

OPPO claims that this device is the first to pass 14 comprehensive military standard environmental tests. In other words, it’s resistant to freezing. The device works in temperatures ranging from 35-47 degrees celsius.

It also has IP69, IP68, and IP66 ratings for dust and water resistance. OPPO says that it can withstand 18 types of exposure to water, bubbles, sprays, and heat. It even comes with a button functioning as drainage.

Lastly, it boasts the industry’s first hunter antenna architecture. This increases the signal strength to 300% with low-frequency antennas. It features OPPO’s smart network selection technology, boosting elevator reception of common frequency band signals from two channels to four.

The OPPO A5 Pro is now available for pre-order through OPPO’s official website in China. It will go on sale on December 27, starting at CNY 1,999 (~PHP 16K) with 8GB/256GB. It’s also available for CNY 2,499 (~PHP 20K) with 12GB/512GB.
