While Apple and ASUS have stepped away from small devices, the mini smartphone trend seems to be making a comeback. Oppo is reportedly preparing to launch the Find X8 Mini alongside the Find X8 Ultra before June 2025.
While vivo already made waves with its X200 Pro Mini (which we really hope vivo to bring it locally), Oppo’s rumored device seems poised to make its mark with premium features packed into a smaller form factor.
According to rumors and leaks, the Oppo Find X8 Mini will feature:
6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with a “1.5K” resolution for vibrant visuals.
Sony IMX9 main camera sensor, expected to deliver high-quality images.
A 50 MP periscope zoom camera, a rare find in compact smartphones.
MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC, shared with the flagship Find X8 and Find X8 Pro
Optical in-display fingerprint sensor.
Metal frame and glass body for a premium feel.
Wireless charging support.
With these specifications, the Find X8 Mini is somewhat shaping up to be a smaller powerhouse. Its high-resolution display and advanced camera system should appeal to users looking for top-tier features in a compact device.
The inclusion of the Dimensity 9400 chipset also suggests the Mini will deliver flagship-grade performance, aligning it closely with its larger siblings, the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro.
As exciting as the Oppo Find X8 Mini sounds, there’s no confirmation yet if it will make its way to international markets. Its compact competitor, the vivo X200 Pro Mini, remains exclusive to China for now, and Oppo could follow a similar path.
