Panasonic Lumix FT7 officially unveiled, first rugged camera with built-in EVF

A new game changer is out in the house as Panasonic unveils its first rugged compact camera with a built-in electronic viewfinder (EVF), the Lumix FT7 or TS7 outside North America.

The FT7 has a 20.4MP resolution with CMOS sensor, paired with a f/3.3-5.9, 28-128mm equivalent (4.6X) lens. If you’re an adventurer and would like to take this camera in action, you’d be glad to know that it is dustproof, shockproof from 6.6 ft., waterproof to 102 ft., freezeproof to -10 Celsius, and pressure-resistant 100 kgf.

Its EVF has a resolution of 0.2-inches and 1.1 million dots, with 0.45 of magnification while its display is at 3.0-inch display with a 1,040,000-dot resolution. It can shoot 4K video at 24p and 30p, 1080p at 60p, and 120fps at 720p. Its shooting speeds are 10fps with single autofocus (49-point contrast-detect autofocus, 5 fps with continuous AF enabled).

Apart from that, it has LED photo light, WiFi, and Panasonic’s 4K Photo feature.

The Lumix FT7 will come in three colors: blue, orange, and black. It will arrive in the UK (summer) for £399 (~Php28,409.73).
