PayMaya now accepts cashless payments for Philippine Red Cross COVID-19 tests

PayMaya has announced that it now powers the online payment gateway of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).

Through this tie-up, Filipinos may now use any credit, debit, and prepaid card, as well as their PayMaya account, when paying for PRC services online.

Moreover, with the booking and cashless payments powered by PayMaya, citizens who avail of tests through PRC only need to show up at the PRC collection sites at their scheduled time.

“Access to COVID-19 tests is critical in our country’s fight against COVID-19. By enabling the widest cashless payment acceptance through PayMaya’s online payment gateway in our booking platform, we are making it easier for citizens to avail of lifeline services,” said Senator Richard J. Gordon, Chairman, and CEO of the Philippine Red Cross.

To avail of the PRC COVID-19 tests and other services, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to the Philippine Red Cross booking platform at https://book.redcross.org.ph.
  2. Select the preferred location for the swab test and set the date and time.
  3. Click on “Book Now” to add the appointment to the Shopping Cart and click Checkout to proceed.
  4. Once you review the details, choose the preferred payment method, then proceed with cashless payment. An email confirmation will be sent by the PRC. Do note that the results will also be emailed once the tests have been conducted.

COVID-19 Swab Test is available at the PRC’s collection sites in Mandaluyong City, Port Area in Manila, and Mandaue City in Cebu. Besides, the PRC also offers an on-site RT-PCR Saliva Test for inbound passengers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Users can also book an appointment for an RT-PCR Saliva Test at 153 PRC Saliva Collection Sites located in select SM, Robinsons, and Ayala Mall branches, as well as Red Cross Chapters across the Philippines.

Other than booking COVID-19 tests, PRC donors can also access the ease of PayMaya’s cashless solutions when donating to the organization by purchasing PRC merchandise or availing of the Philippine Red Cross membership cards.

The Philippine Red Cross Membership is a form of donation with an accident insurance policy intended for anyone between 5 to 85 years old. Besides, the membership entitles an individual to access all services of the Red Cross in times of emergencies, sickness, and disasters, as well as reimbursements for accidental death, disablement and dismemberment, hospitalization, and burial.

Meanwhile, to donate directly to the PRC using any credit, debit, or prepaid card or PayMaya account from here and abroad, head over to this link. In addition, PayMaya users can also donate to PRC via the Bills Pay feature of the PayMaya app.

“We are glad to be a steadfast partner of the PRC in its efforts to deliver critical services, especially during this pandemic. Providing them with a safer and more inclusive payment acceptance service through our PayMaya Checkout online payment gateway will help ensure that they can extend their services to as many Filipinos as possible,” said Shailesh Baidwan, President of PayMaya.
