Powerbeats Pro 2 unveiled

The Powerbeats Pro 2 have been unveiled. It now offers heart rate monitoring, colorful options, and a handful of features.

It should be a great find for users with active lifestyles as it was tested by around a thousand athletes. Plus, it has a better fit that features a fortified nickel-titanium alloy ear hook for ergonomics.

Another new feature is its venting mechanism, designed to improve airflow. The new Powerbeats Pro also has an additional fifth ear tip size (S to XL) to help users get an optimal fit. Beats say that it’s their best fitting headphone ever, weighing 20 percent less than its predecessor.

Feature-wise, it offers active noise cancellation (ANC), transparency mode, dynamic head tracking, and personalized spatial audio. It also now offers adaptive EQ, enabling it to adjust audio in real-time thanks to its inward-facing microphone.

As mentioned, it also now has a built-in heart rate monitor that uses LED optical sensors. It tracks blood flow over a hundred times per second. Beats also says that it supports a number of fitness apps like Open, Ladder, Nike Run Club, Runna, and Slopes.

Beats’ latest release is rated for 10 hours per charge and up to 45 hours with its case. Users can also make use of its 5-minute quick charge feature which offers 1 hour and 30 minutes of playback. In addition, it even supports wireless charging as well.

The Powerbeats Pro 2 is available in Electric Orange, Hyper Purple, Jet Black, and Quick Sand color options. Other notable features include its use of an Apple H2 chip and its IPX4 rating.

It’s currently priced at USD 249.99 (~PHP 14,000). Interested users may check it out via Apple’s website or the Beats website. As for availability, there’s no details yet on its launch in the Philippines. We’ll update readers accordingly should we get wind of its arrival.

Well, the portfolio of scriptwriting, web content, and public relations help too, we suppose. As a homebody, he often spends his time on the streaming platform Twitch or ‘farming’ gaming clips with friends. He is also an avid fan of round glasses and anything relative to blueberries.
