Project DualPlay is Acer’s next Gaming Laptop Concept

Perhaps the most popular device introduced by acer here in IFA Berlin is the Acer Predator Project DualPlay. This concept gaming laptop comes with detachable wireless controllers that integrates within the trackpad.

This gaming laptop is great with games such as first-person shooters or fight games where you can remove the trackpad to detach the controllers for two players.

Along the sides of the laptop, you also get an additional pair of speakers that can be popped out for more a immersive sound experience.

The controllers are automatically charged when stowed away and not in use. acer executives explain that the project DualPlay is simply a concept gaming laptop but they showcased it in IFA Berlin to see how the media and consumers respond to the idea which will then help them assess if they should proceed with production of the gaming laptop.

No other information was given about the Project DualPlay gaming laptop or how much it would sell for should they pursue this project.

Acer today unveiled the Project DualPlay gaming laptop concept at its next@acer global press conference in Berlin, Germany. This Predator concept embraces the latest gaming trends, unleashing a new dimension of versatile and shared PC gaming experiences that converge in one powerful device.

Project DualPlay pushes the boundaries of gaming on-the-go, offering players more ways to enjoy their favorite AAA titles. The cutting-edge design features a vast touchpad that doubles as a built-in detachable wireless controller. Players can easily wield the wireless controller from its electromagnetic lock by simply placing two fingers on the release button located on top of the keyboard. This action also triggers the two high-fidelity, 5-watt pop-out speakers to emerge from the sides of the laptop, immersing players in heart-pounding audio that brings every scene to life.

For multiplayer enthusiasts, Project DualPlay allows another player to jump in on the action.
