Razer partners with Visa for prepaid card

Razer Fintech, the financial technology arm of Razer, partners with Visa to launch the new prepaid solution – the Razer Card.

Users may sign up and use the virtual card without a subscription. However, users have the option to upgrade to a Standard or Premium physical card. The latter features the Razer logo that lights up every successful payment.

All Razer cardholders may enjoy year-long cashback for purchases made on RazerStore and Gold with no capped limit, a gamified rewards system in-app, and make digital transactions on over 61 million merchants that accept Visa globally. This includes contactless payment on public transport, cinemas, and fast-food restaurants.

The new prepaid payment solution is part of the Razer Fintech’s mission to establish the world’s first global youth bank in Singapore.

The Razer Card also offers a gamified rewards system through the Razer Pay app, where users can track, score, and redeem rewards based on tasks and everyday transactions. They may also use it virtually, activate it, access card information, and manage controls on the said app. The card is also numberless to ensure security.

The Razer Card will be available to 1,337 select users until December 31 through an exclusive beta testing program. Beta testers will get 10% cashback on RazerStore and Razer Gold purchases, as well as gamified Card Beta rewards that allow testers to complete tasks, level up, and redeem up to SGD 2,000 worth of Razer gear and free card upgrades.

The three-month beta testing will be conducted first in Singapore.
