realme 16 Pro Series 5G Launching in India January 2026

Listen to article

realme is preparing to kick off 2026 with the launch of its new realme 16 Pro Series 5G, teased in India as the brand’s next big mid-range “masterpiece.” The teaser shows a flat-frame design with a large rear camera module, clearly positioning the lineup as a camera-first device.

Based on leaks, the 16 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a fast 144Hz refresh rate, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The highlight is a massive 200MP main camera supported by an 8MP secondary lens, plus a 50MP front shooter. A huge 7,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging rounds out the package, while the Pro+ variant is expected to add a dedicated telephoto lens and new color options like grey, gold, and purple.

While realme has yet to confirm the official launch date, reports point to a January 6, 2026 debut in India, consistent with the brand’s strategy of starting the year with a major Number Series refresh. For the Philippines, the best reference is the rollout of the realme 15 Series, which launched in India in late July 2025 and arrived locally about two months later in mid-September. If realme follows the same timeline, Filipino buyers can expect the 16 Pro Series to land around March 2026, bringing upgraded cameras, bigger batteries, and sharper displays to the mid-range segment.
