Xiaomi just had its major “one more thing” this 2025 by globally launching its new REDMI Note 15 Pro Series. And in this review, we’re taking the REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G for a spin.

On the surface, it looks exactly like its predecessor, rocking the same design and build. But in terms of hardware changes, we see several improvements like bigger display, improved cameras, and bigger battery.
So, what else does this new iteration has to offer? Let’s find out in this full review.
Design and Construction
Starting with design, the REDMI Note 15 Pro immediately gives off a sense of sophistication. Our unit is in the Titanium colorway rocking a matte back, complemented by a glossy camera island. Honestly, it’s a color that I really like. Although it feels plasticky in hand, it looks elegant nonetheless, at least in terms of looks.
You’ll also notice the updated “REDMI” logo (now in all caps) neatly placed at the bottom center, while up top sits the slightly square-ish camera island. For reference, this exactly the same design from the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G.
The new model gained a little bit of weight though, now at 210 grams as compared to its predecessor’s 190 grams.
Durability-wise, the Note 15 Pro comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it resistant to dust and water submersion. Additionally, there’s a Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front display, providing a solid scratch resistance. For extra peace of mind, Xiaomi also includes a jelly case in the box, so that’s neat.
For buttons and ports, the layout is practical and familiar. The bottom houses the USB-C port, main speaker, a mic and the SIM tray, while the top features the secondary speaker, IR blaster, and another mic. On the right, you have the volume rocker and power button, and the left side remains clean.
Display, Multimedia, and Biometrics
Moving over to multimedia experience, this is where the REDMI Note 15 Pro really won me over. It sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display running at 120Hz refresh rate. It’s bright, sharp, and honestly just nice to look at. The bezels are pretty slim too.

Colors look natural and deep, and with deeper blacks as expected of an AMOLED panel. It peaks at up to 3200 nits of luminance, so taking it outdoors under direct sunlight won’t be much of a problem.
Thanks to its dual stereo speakers, I found myself binge-watching shows and random YouTube vlogs longer than I thought. It can get loud with up to 400% volume, but the sound tends to distort at that point. Keeping the volume at less that 100% though, the sound quality is decent with clear highs and mids and serviceable bass. It does support Dolby Atmos slightly enhancing audio fidelity.
Unlocking the phone is also quick and hassle-free. It featrues both face unlock and an in-display fingerprint scanner, and both worked smoothly in our testing.
Camera
Now onto the cameras… there is a bit of a twist here. At first glance, it looks like the REDMI Note 15 Pro is rocking a triple-camera setup at the back and that’s because of the four circles inside the ‘squircle’ island. But nope, it’s just a dual camera system.
There’s a 200-megapixel main sensor with OIS, backed by an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. The third circle is simply the LED flash and as for the last spot, REDMI did not specify what exactly it is, but our guess is it’s likely a flicker sensor.
While at the front, you’ll find a 20-megapixel selfie camera sitting in a punch hole notch.
Now, talking about the image quality, I was honestly surprised. Even without a macro nor a telephoto lens, th Note 15 Pro handles everyday photography quite well. Colors pop, details are sharp, and images look lively. Portrait mode also gives a nice subject and background separation, and you can still get a decent 2x zoom shot without losing too much quality.
Zoom range at the back goes from 0.6x ultrawide up to 30x digital, while the selfie cam sits between 0.8x to 1x for a more flexible setup.
How about night photography? Well, it’s decently good, delivering photos that are still fairly sharp even under low lighting conditions. But as I always say, make sure that there’s a decent amount of lighting that could help your camera to properly capture the subject you want to shoot.
My only complaint? Zooming in while taking photos has a slight delay, and post-processing takes a few seconds before you see the final image. Still, the camera performance is pretty solid, more than enough for TikTok, IG posting, or capturing weekend trips with friends.

As for video, you can shoot up to 4K 30 fps on the rear, while selfies max out at 1080p, 60 fps. As far as quality goes, it’s surprisingly good as well. Shots have good stabilization thanks to optical image stabilization, and sharpness is on point here.
Performance and Benchmarks
Jumping to our next stop, performance. The REDMI Note 15 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Ultra, offering a slight bump in performance as compared to its predecessor.

We tested Mobile Legends at max graphics, and surprisingly, it handled everything without stutters or lag. Team fights, clashes, and pushing turrets all went smooth. We also ran Call of Duty Mobile, and the gameplay was still solid.
For heavier, more graphics-demanding games, you might need to adjust settings to Low or Medium for the best experience, but frame drops weren’t really an issue.

One thing to note, the phone does get warm after long gaming sessions. It’s not too hot to worry about, but you’ll definitely feel the temperature rising on the back panel, even though it has a vapor cooling system, it’s quite noticeable.
The unit we’re using comes with 8GB RAM plus an extra 4GB virtual RAM, along with 256GB of storage, which is plenty for apps, photos, and a few big games.

OS, Apps, and Features
On the software side, the REDMI Note 15 Pro runs Xiaomi HyperOS 2 on top of Android 15.
It’s a bit surprising that Xiaomi didn’t go with HyperOS 3 and Android 16. We’re not exactly sure why.
Still, everything feels familiar if you’ve used a recent Xiaomi phones before. The interface is clean and customizable, and you can tweak icons, wallpapers, and themes to match your style. But since it still shipped with the same Android version, nothing groundbreaking has changed since the Redmi Note 14 Pro.
It also packs several AI-assisted tools such as Circle to Search, AI Beautify, AI Ultra, AI Image Expansion, and of course Google Gemini for productivity and smart actions.

As for update policy, Xiaomi promises three years of OS upgrades and four years of security patches for the REDMI Note 15 Pro series. For a phone in this category, that’s a pretty solid commitment.
Battery and Connectivity
Now onto battery life, it’s definitely one of its strong points. The phone packs a massive 6580mAh battery which is a significant jump from the 5160mAh unit on its predecessor.
In our testing, the phone easily lasted me an entire day with moderate use. I even brought it along to a friend’s volleyball tournament, and fun fact, I ended up using it as a power bank to charge my main phone. It’s that capable.
We also ran it through the PCMark battery life test, and the results were impressive: 17 hours and 18 minutes. That’s enough to get through a full day of heavy use without worrying about running out of juice. When it comes to charging, the 45W wired support gets the phone back up quickly, so you’re not stuck waiting around for hours.

Connectivity is just as complete. You get dual nano-SIM with 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and NFC. Plus, the built-in IR blaster is a small but handy addition for controlling TVs, air conditioners, and other appliances, giving the phone a little extra usefulness around the house.
Price and Availability
Now, the big question is: how much does the REDMI Note 15 Pro cost? Sadly, as of writing, Xiaomi hasn’t officially announced the pricing, so we don’t have exact numbers yet. Once it’s available, we’ll make sure to update it here at our website.
For context, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G launched with a starting price of PHP 17,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. So, it’s safe to expect that the Note 15 Pro will likely sit around the same range, maybe slightly higher due to its upgraded features like the bigger battery, improved cameras, and more powerful chipset.
Verdict
To conclude this review, the REDMI Note 15 Pro is one of the most interesting midrange smartphones of 2025.
Multimedia experience is good thanks to its immersive display, coupled with dual stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos support. Performance is also substantially powerful with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Ultra chip, while the massive 6580mAh battery and 45W fast charging keep you powered all day long.
The cameras are surprisingly capable as well. The 200MP main sensor and 8MP ultrawide lens capture vibrant, detailed shots, and the selfie camera works well for social media and video calls. While it lacks a telephoto lens or wireless charging, and the software still has some quirks, these are minor trade-offs considering what you’re getting.
Overall, the REDMI Note 15 Pro is a feature-packed, well-rounded, and great smartphone. It’s great for users who want a phone that looks and looks premium, performs reliably, and covers all the essentials for a midrange device.
