Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is official!

Listen to article

Samsung has finally announced their new line of foldables with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 bringing in an upgraded hardware inside a thinner profile.

The new Galaxy Z Fold 7 is just 4.2mm thin (unfolded) and about 8.9mm (folded). That’s a significant shaving from the 5.6mm / 12.1mm of the Galaxy Z Fold6 from last year. It’s also much lighter than its predecessor at 215 grams (vs. 239 grams).

While there’s not much difference in the exterior and design of the Fold7, Samsung adjusted the dimensions to make the aspect ratio hit the sweet spot of 21:9. This meant that the outer display got a slight boost of 6.5-inches (vs. 6.3″) and the internal display making it to 8.0 inches (from 7.6″).

Despite being thinner and lighter, the 6.5-inch cover display is now stronger due to an additional layer of Titanium plating, 50% thicker UTG and the use of a newer Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. The back panel is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Just like the Galaxy S25 series, the Z Fold7 is now powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipsets, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.

It also comes with a triple rear camera system, headlined by a new 200MP main camera (replacing the old 50MP from the previous unit), a 12MP ultrawide and 10MP telephoto.

The Z Fold7 will come with One UI 8.0 and Android 16 out of the box. New colorways include Black, Silver Shadow, Pink, Navy, Crafted Black, White (varies by market).

The series is expected to arrive in the Philippines this August 1, 2025. Complete list of prices can be found here 111.
