Samsung Electronics has announced the latest addition to the Oddysey line—the Odyssey Neo G9 curved gaming monitor.
According to Samsung, the Odyssey Neo G9 (Model: G95NA) is equipped with Quantum Matrix technology and is supported by Quantum Mini LED display and Quantum HDR 2000. The Quantum Matrix Technology harnesses enhanced 12-bit gradation for greater control of the light source, while the Quantum Mini LEDs makes dark areas darker and bright areas brighter with 2,048 dimming zones. Additionally, the Quantum HDR 2000 offers a peak brightness of 2,000nits with certification received from Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE).
The Odyssey Neo G9 features a 1000R curved 49-inch display with a 32:9 aspect ratio that offers a 5,120 x 1,440 DQHD resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. The monitor provides Adaptive Sync on DP1.4 and HDMI2.1 VRR through HDMI 2.1 with NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.
The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 is priced at USD 2,499.99. Preorders will begin on July 29, 2021, and will be available globally by August 9, 2021.
