Smart launches GigaPay with PayMaya feature

Smart Communications, Inc. just announced that it had enhanced the GigaLife App experience by introducing GigaPay with PayMaya.

GigaPay with PayMaya is an in-app payment feature that makes it simpler and easier for customers to buy load, and subscribe to data promos.

Through GigaPay, all subscribers of Smart Prepaid, Smart Postpaid, Smart Bro, Prepaid Home WiFi, and TNT may link their PayMaya account to the GigaLife App to make it their payment source for their in-app transactions.

With this, users do not need to switch between apps and do multiple log-ins to multiple accounts to top up one’s Smart account or avail of data promos. Instead, subscribers may now make these purchases without getting off the GigaLife App and just use its GigaPay feature.

For its initial rollout, GigaPay users can also reload at all available PayMaya cash-in touchpoints nationwide, keep track of all their transaction history, and earn more GigaPoints which can be used to redeem data offers and exclusive perks on the app.

“When we launched the GigaLife App last September, our vision has always been to build a one-stop app that puts all the digital needs of our customers within easy reach. GigaPay with PayMaya is a huge step towards that direction as it makes transactions on the GigaLife App simple and hassle-free,” said Jane J. Basas, SVP and Head of Consumer Wireless Business at Smart.

To start using GigaPay with PayMaya, subscribers must first download or update the GigaLife App on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Upon logging in to the app, tap the GigaPay icon to link your existing PayMaya account as your payment source.

Check out the steps below on how to link an existing PayMaya account:

(Note that this section opens up the PayMaya web app within the GigaLife App. There’s no need to download and install PayMaya for this.)

1. Tap on the “Link PayMaya” button.
2. On the Data & Personalization Screen, tick the two boxes confirming/opting into GigaPay. Then tap continue.
3. Enter your PayMaya Log In Details and check your PayMaya enrolled number for the OTP to link and connect both accounts.

4. Confirm OTP, and proceed.
5. Finally, tap on “Approve and Activate GigaPay.”

However, those who do not have a PayMaya account may easily create a new one and link to GigaPay without leaving the GigaLife App.

Once GigaPay has been activated, buying load and subscribing to promos on the GigaLife App can be as easy as clicking your preferred offer and swiping across your screen to confirm your purchase.

“Our subscribers can now rely on GigaPay with PayMaya on the GigaLife App to stay connected and be unstoppable when it comes to pursuing their passions. This capability also opens doors for more powerful and innovative functionalities that enrich the digital experiences of our customers,” Basas added.
