The Sony FX2, a full-frame camera part of Sony’s Cinema Line, has been launched and priced in the Philippines. This device is tailor-made for filmmakers and tenured creators.

The FX2 retains the compact build of the FX3 and FX30. It features multiple mounting points, AI-based autofocus, automatic framing, and Active Mode stabilization.
It also supports accessories such as an XLR handle and external monitors. This reflects through its HDMI Type-A port with 4K 60p 4:2:2 10-bit or 16-bit RAW output.
Inside, the FX2 uses a 35mm full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor with 34.1 megapixels, 15+ stops of dynamic range (S-Log3), and a color temperature range of 2500K to 9900K. It supports E-mount lenses and offers three Log modes: Flexible ISO, Cine EI, and Cine EI Quick.
Recording formats go up to 4K (3840 × 2160) with 4K 60p available in Super 35mm mode, along with 10-bit depth and 4:2:2 color sampling. Up to 16 LUTs can be imported, and Picture Profiles including S-Cinetone are supported.

For storage and power, the FX2 accepts two CFexpress Type-A cards and an NP-FZ100 battery. This delivers up to 100 minutes of video recording or 155 minutes of continuous shooting.
In addition, the camera comes with a tiltable OLED viewfinder at 3.68 million dots. It’s capable of up to 0.70x magnification and has a 3-inch TFT touchscreen display.
