Sony WH-1000XM6 now available for pre-orders in the Philippines

The Sony-WH-1000XM6 33 is now available for pre-orders in the Philippines. These are flagship headphones that feature smart ANC, real-time audio upscaling, and Hi-Res audio.

In terms of design, it has an asymmetrical headband to help users identify left from right easier. This is made of synthetic leather and is complemented by soft earpads, geared towards comfort with prolonged use.

It also folds with the help of its metal-injected joints. Plus, it comes with a small magnetically-sealed carrying case.

At its core, the headphones have a new HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3. This is said to work seven times faster compared to its predecessor.

It works alongside twelve (12) microphones, dynamically adjusting noise cancellation levels based on a user’s environment. There’s also an Adaptive NC optimizer, further enhancing its performance even with varying levels of air pressure and noise.

It also has a redesigned driver unit which contributes to an increase in external noise isolation. This works with its Auto Ambient Sound mode, selectively filtering background noise.

This allows notable bits of audio to come through, such as announcements. Users can tinker with its settings manually via the Sony Sound Connect app or leave it working on auto.

Its sound quality has also been refined in collaboration with mastering engineers from Sterling Sound, Battery Studios, and Coast Mastering. Sound profiles, either balanced or classical, are supported by a carbon fiber dome and a custom voice coil. This helps to enhance audio detail across all frequencies.

As mentioned, the headphones offer Hi-Res audio and LDAC compatibility. Compressed files are also upscaled through Edge-AI and DSEE Extreme technology. Users can even fine-tune audio using a 10-band equalizer or select from given presets.

For calls, it has a six-microphone beamforming system that isolates the user’s voice from ambient noise. The headphones also come with a dedicated mute button.

In addition, it has an uptime of up to 30 hours with active noise cancellation enabled. Users can charge it for three minutes and get three hours of playback as well.

The Sony WH-1000XM6 is available in either White, Blue, or Black colorways. It’s currently priced at PHP 27,999 and is available for pre-orders starting May 16 to June 20, 2025.
