This update brings several new features that aim to enhance the user experience.

Firstly, the update introduces flash notifications, allowing the device’s camera flash or screen to illuminate in customizable colors when alerts are received. This provides a more vibrant notification method compared to standard LED indicators. Customization options for 12 flash colors also facilitate personalization.

Secondly, the Find My Device feature strengthens the phone’s security.
Through remote device tracking and locking/wiping capabilities, lost or stolen devices can potentially be recovered or protected from unauthorized access.

Nearby sharing is another notable update, expediting file transfers between the Xperia 5 V and Windows PCs without requiring cables or ports. Wireless connectivity allows for convenient sharing of photos, documents, and other media between devices within close proximity.

Lastly, custom lock screen shortcuts optimize accessibility by permitting direct access to frequently used apps from the locked state. Instead of fully unlocking the device, a single tap can launch key programs, saving time for brief tasks.

The Sony Xperia 5 V first arrived in late 2022 boasting the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and high-quality 6.1-inch 120Hz OLED display. With a large 5000mAh battery. Although No official released yet for Philippines as of writing.
