Starmobile UP Snap has 8MP UltraPixel camera

Following up on HTC’s Ultrapixel technology, Starmobile has introduced their own version with an 8-megapixel Ultrapixel camera on the UP Snap.

What the company is saying is that each pixel on the sensor is bigger so it can take on more light (they did not mention the size of the pixel but the aperture is indicated as f2.0). This means it can see more in the dark compared to other phone cameras.

Starmobile UP Snap specs:
5-inch IPS LCD display @ 540×854 pixels, 196ppi
Broadcom BCM23550M ARM Cortex-A7 1.2GHz quad-core
VideoCore IV Graphics
1GB RAM
8GB internal storage
up to 32GB via microSD card
Dual-SIM, Dual-3G
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 4.0
GPS with aGPS
FM Radio tuner
Android Kitkat 4.4.2
Li-Ion battery 2,900mAh

The Starmobile UP Snap is available in aqua blue, dark blue and while colors. Starmobile has not indicated the suggested retail price of the UP Snap.

    • More like 8,990. That’s Starmobile pricing.

  1. No need camera..
Need more RAM and highers storage.

  2. I was looking for a starmobile navi like phone with a better camera, display, battery, ROM, Kitkat OS and a slightly bigger display. UP SNAP perfectly fits my needs to a T. Just waiting for the actual reviews before buying.

  3. i own this phone and the starmobile claim about the 8 ultrapixel was for me was a disappointment. the photo quality is like my old myphone A919 duo. its only a marketing strategy to attract buyers. but the design is really good, attractive phone. hands down for that. the performance is okay. other than the camera everything is of good quality imho. i love this phone. lolzzz :-)
