We’ve seen luxury smartwatches from Swiss luxury watchmaker Tag Heuer last year, and here’s another to add to their list – the Connected Modular 45 powered by Google’s latest Android Wear 2.0 platform.
As the name depicts, the Modular 45 offers a wide range of design customization options for each customer’s preference. It does not only end on the type of straps to be worn but is also available in other parts of the whole watch such as buckles, lugs, mechanical and connecting modules. That totals up to 56 available customizations, with 11 available upon launch and others upon request.
Powering the whole device is an Intel Atom Z34XX chip coupled with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It also has options for wireless connectivity such as WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC.
Tag Heuer Connected Modular 45 specs:
1.39-inch AMOLED display @ 400x400px
Sapphire Glass watch face cover
2.13GHz Dual-core Intel Atom Z34XX chip
1GB of RAM
4GB of storage
Water resistance to 5 ATM
Android Wear 2.0
30 hours of battery life
Despite having the same features as those of newly-announced smartwatches, it’s up for grabs at a staggering USD1600 or roughly Php83,000 when converted to local currency. There’s also a deluxe box set version of the watch in grade 5 titanium, with titanium lugs and brown natural leather strap, complete with COSC-certified chronograph Heuer-02T tourbillon mechanical module and an additional black rubber strap is available for 17,000 USD or roughly Php854,000. Local availability, with pricing, may be slated later in the year.
