vivo X Fold 3 image leaks reveal Mac integration

Images were leaked that showed the upcoming vivo X Fold 3 connecting remotely to a Mac computer.

The recent leak from Ice Universe consisted of a set of images on Weibo allegedly showing the vivo X Fold 3. The smartphone appeared to have noticeable screen bezels and a punch-hole camera cutout on the right.

The standard power and volume buttons are split between the left and right sides respectively. Additionally, the device also features an external screen.

But with these expected features, the tipster got notoriety for showing the vivo X Fold 3’s display of a macOS interface. He suggested that the foldable will have the ability to remotely control a Mac.

His claims were backed up by Weibo user WhyLab, who confirmed the authenticity of the feature and leaks.

There were also leaks from tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), who revealed upgrades to the vivo X Fold 3’s display.

As per DCS, Samsung Display will supply internal foldable screens for both the X Fold 3 and its Pro variant, with a higher resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels compared to its predecessor. Meanwhile, the outer display is said to have a resolution of 2748 x 1172 pixels.

DCS also notes that vivo will use fiberglass for the foldables, and that the vivo X Fold 3 will likely have a 5,600mAh battery.
