vivo Y29 launches with 6500mAh BlueVolt battery at Php 8,999

vivo has released the Y29 smartphone in the Philippines, now available starting at ₱8,999. The device features a 6500mAh BlueVolt battery, designed to support extended daily use and maintain up to 80% capacity after five years. It supports 44W FlashCharge, which can reach 50% charge in approximately 41 minutes.

The vivo Y29 includes features intended to improve durability and longevity. These include a Comprehensive Cushioning Structure, SCHOTT Shield Glass for increased drop resistance, and a protective case with an airbag design. The phone is certified with SGS Five-Star Drop Resistance and Military Grade Certification, and it carries an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.

It has dual stereo speakers that can amplify sound up to 400%, and the receiver volume also increases by 200%, ensuring clear audio during calls, especially in noisy settings.

Regarding its visual capabilities, it features a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits of peak brightness, making it easy to view even under direct sunlight. It is also TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certified, reducing eye strain during long screen time.

Powering all this is the 6nm Snapdragon 685 processor, built for fast, responsive performance while maximizing battery efficiency.

Two variants are available:

  • 8GB RAM + 128GB storage for ₱8,999
  • 8GB RAM + 256GB storage for ₱10,999
Both variants offer 8GB extended RAM and support up to 2TB of expandable storage via microSD.

The vivo Y29 is available in Marble White and Espresso Brown colors and can be purchased at vivo concept stores, kiosks, or online through the official vivo website 14.
