Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra launched with new XRING O1 chip

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra has been launched with their new self-developed XRING O1 12 chip. Design-wise, Xiaomi says they’ve used high-grade aluminum for the flagship tablet.

This helps its toughness improve by 18 percent while maintaining its weight. It features a sleek design at just 5.1mm thin and 609 grams, available in either Black or Silver colorways.

In addition, it has a large 14-inch OLED screen with 3.2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It also has a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, 96.3 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a 3:2 aspect ratio.

Xiaomi’s also offering an option of a nano-soft light screen model. This minimizes reflection and glare by 70 percent and 99 percent, respectively. The screen also supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HDR Vivid.

Under the hood, it packs the XRING O1. This has a 10-core CPU and a 16-core Immortalis-G925 GPU. It even has a 6-core NPU with 44 TOPS of AI processing power. It’s built on a 3nm process and caps at a 3.7GHz clock speed.

For cameras, it has a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 at the rear and a 32-megapixel camera up front. The tablet also has a 12,000mAh battery with support for 120W of HyperCharge via USB Type-C. It supports 7.5W reverse charging as well.

Other features include an eight speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, spatial audio, and Hi-Res certification for wired and wireless audio. There’s also four microphones with noise reduction and a QQ music premium certification.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra is currently available in China starting at CNY 5,699 (~PHP 43.8K) with 12GB/256GB. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra with Nano-Soft Light Display retails for CNY 6,599 (~PHP 50.7K) with 12GB/512GB.
