Xiaomi Pad Mini unveiled: compact tablet with dual USB-C ports

The Xiaomi Pad Mini 36 was also unveiled along the Redmi Pad 2 Pro Series 74. This compact tablet sports an 8.8-inch display with 3K resolution and a refresh rate up to 165Hz.

Powering it is a Dimensity 9400+ with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. It also has an Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU and NPU 890 for AI in tow.

Notably, it has a 13MP rear shooter capable of recording up to 4K at 30 fps. It also packs a 7,500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging and 18W reverse wired charging.

Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio and dual USB Type-C ports. It will ship with Xiaomi HyperOS 2 out of the box.


The Xiaomi Pad Mini has a starting price of USD 429 (~PHP 25K). Details about availability and pricing in the Philippines aren’t available yet, but we’ll keep readers posted.

  1. so this is the rebranded redmi k pad right? if only lenovo is not so slow in releasing their actual new tablets locally. their tab 2025 is last year’s model.
