Xiaomi has launched its latest smart speaker in the form of the new Xiaomi Sound Pro.
Its dome design sees a transparent upper portion with ambient lighting that follows and changes with the music playing.
In terms of audio quality, it packs in a 7-unit acoustic configuration with 3 full-range speakers, 3 passive radiators, and a large, custom-made 40W subwoofer.
The speaker is said to get as loud as 91dB while retaining rich, balanced sound with also 360-degree omnidirectional sound.
Xiaomi has also worked with HARMAN AudioEFX to professionally tune the Sound Pro and included its Innovative Computing Audio 2.0 for a live-level listening experience.
Its Nightingale algorithm supports independent adjustment of sound effects for users to choose their preferred style of sound through the Xiaomi Speaker App.
The Sound Pro also features NFC to fully integrate with a smart home by being able to send songs via “Xiaomi Miaobo” with a simple touch of your phone and speaker.
The Xiaomi Sound Pro can also connect with other phones, tablets, laptops, and more through Aux, AirPlay, Bluetooth 5.1, and voice command.
It can also support up to 8 expansions for an entire home audio system or have two combined for left and right channels.
The Xiaomi Sound Pro smart speaker is now available in China for CNY 999 (~PHP 8,000).
No word on local availability and pricing here in the Philippines has been made as of writing.
