YouTube to increase video duration of Shorts

YouTube Shorts will soon be longer as the company will increase their video duration.

YouTube Shorts will soon have videos up to three minutes. Starting October 15, YouTube will allow users to upload Shorts up to three minutes long.

A new feature will be implemented soon with templates. Users can try templates by tapping “Remix” on a Short and select “Use this template”. The company also states that users will be able to remix YouTube videos in the coming months.

Another update for Shorts is found in the Home feed where users can select “Show fewer Shorts”. This can be done by clicking on the three dot menu in the upper right of any Shorts grid it will temporarily show you less Shorts in your Home feed.
