Google has publicly announced that the YouTube Stories feature will be removed on the 26th of June.

YouTube stories will be no more as Google made the announcement that the feature will be removed on June 26. Any Story up on that day will be expire 7 days after they are uploaded still, however.

The post states that users who wish for alternatives to Stories have two options: YouTube Community posts and YouTube Shorts.

YouTube Community posts allows creators to post text and images to start conversations or bring updates to their viewers. Polls, quizzes, filters, and stickers are some of the features available.

YouTube Shorts is a way to post a short and quick video on YouTube. Shorts allows creators to add text and filters or remix with other content in YouTube.
