This Tesla Wireless Charging Mat is made in the Philippines

Listen to article

Aside from self-driving cars, trucks, solar panels and power walls, Tesla is also selling some car accessories and apparel.

So it is no surprise that they sell this cool $300 wireless charging mat.

Description

Inspired by the angular design and metallic styling of Cybertruck, our Wireless Charging Platform provides 15W of fast charging power per device for up to three devices simultaneously. Its sleek design is composed of an aluminum housing, premium alcantara surface and a detachable magnetic stand that allows you to lay the charger flat or at an angle for better viewing. Featuring FreePower® technology, which charges your Qi capable devices such as phones or earbuds placed anywhere on its surface without precise alignment.

Setup and User Manual

Includes:

Wireless Charging Platform
USB-C cable integrated with wireless charger
65W USB-C power adapter
Magnetic detachable stand

What is surprising is that this mat is actually manufactured in the Philippines! In a recent massive Tesla unboxing of Unbox Therapy, he featured the Tesla wireless charging mat and found out from the packaging that it was made in the Philippines.

“Now, that’s a twist. Not made in China.”

We’re not sure which company is making this for Tesla so let us know if you have any leads.

Hat tip to Benj for sending us this tip!
