Zenfone 2 on Lazada sold direct from Hong Kong retailer

When we first broke the news that the Zenfone 2 is being listed in Lazada, we investigated further to know why the prices listed were a bit off from the expected price. So we tried to place an order.

As it turns out, the Zenfone 2 listed in Lazada (see listings here) is being fulfilled by a Hong Kong retailer named Kile Trading (listed address at Shop 6 1a-1b Poplar Street, HK).

This is perhaps the reason why the units are more expensive than expected. They’re incorporating the cost of shipping (UPS/FedEx) as well as customs and taxes. This is basically the same as ordering from Amazon (only that the listed price does not include taxes and shipping).

As for warranty, Kile Trading will honor the international warranty but we’ve confirmed Asus PH will not.

If you can wait until May 10 for the local release (as per Lazada’s schedule), you will be able to save a few thousand bucks. Otherwise, you can go ahead and place the international order here.

Hi, it will be release here in PH earlier than expected so just wait for the warranty one but limited stocks only. And the price is lower, variants would be 16 2gb, 32 4gb, 64 4gb. Hope you can wait for the official release.

Bought my oneplus one last June 2014 from Kile. Very fast delivery. No warranty but I haven’t had any problems with my phone yet until now.

Same experience here with Lazada, they sent me a defective LED TV. I kept following up until I gave up because I have a job and other things to do with my life. Never buy again from Lazada!

+1 on Ivory. Avoid the headache.
If you’ll gave problems with Lazada with regards to delivery, refund, or items itself, its very hard to dispute. I have ordered an item that I didnt receive, and its almost 2 months now and the refund is taking forever. Ive called around 20 times already and they are saying the same answer over and over again.

Don’t buy this or anything else from Lazada Philippines – you may not even receive the item, they’ll fool you on the “returns / refund assurance” and you can never be sure if you’ll actually receive a brand new, unused item. There are numerous complaints versus Lazada regarding the delivery of defective / used / second hand items and non-original items, multiple debiting of credit cards, non-reversals of debits, late deliveries, etc. “Warranties” daw on Items sold by third parties, like this Asus Zenfone 2, are automatically voided on returns if Lazada’s “QA” kuno opens the product, so Lazada doesn’t bother, but they’ll make you think they did with their script of a turnaound tome of 24-48 hours. Their supervisor admitted this to me. I experienced this with them and after telling them I would file a complaint with DTI, Consumers Union of the Philippines, and the city halls in Makati and Alabang, they finally refunded me. Spare yourself the expense and stress of dealing with Lazada Philippines’ unprofessional and unethical ways and either buy from an actual genuine store or Amazon.

I must be very lucky then. I have bought a total of 6 phones on Lazada so far, and no major problems so far. The only problem I had was when they sent me the wrong color of the phone lol.
Ordering in Lazada is a hit or miss I guess.
P.S. the phones I bought are NOT cheap phones

It’s Better to patiently wait for the official Z2 release. The price in Lazada is ridiculous at the same time, the specs. are crap not having the 2.3GHz Intel atom processor + (4GB Ram), instead 1.8 ghz Mooredield and 3GB Ram. For 16K!!!?!! . Now, that’s BS! Edi wow!
