YouTube has announced the addition of Lazada to their Shopping affiliate program in the Philippines. In addition, there’s also new features for YouTube Shopping based on creator feedback.

Lazada is one of the country’s leading ecommerce platforms, with the program allowing creators to tag products in their videos. This allows customers access to a wider range of products in addition to the Shopee partnership announced in April.
For the features, Youtube has introduced Stickers on Shorts, a visual pop-up for tagged products to enable instant shopping. There’s also Timestamps, which show shopping tags right as products are displayed.
The company’s also leaning on AI to provide a better shopping experience for creators. Auto Timestamps leverages AI to automatically display the product tag right when it pops up to help both viewers and creators for buying and selling.
In addition, there’s now a YouTube Shopping Chrome Extension, letting creators easily save products to tag in their videos later. With this, YouTube has updated the product tagging guidelines for creators while sharing tips and best practices.
YouTube says they are committed to growing the creator economy, building towards an intuitive, engaging, and rewarding shopping experience.
