Huawei has just unveiled a new tablet called the Huawei MatePad Air.

Slated for a China launch, the MatePad Air features an 11.5-inch 2880 x 1840 LCD panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate. It will also have an 87% screen-to-body ratio and 270 pixels per inch pixel density.
Given the “Air” name, it suggests a thin and light profile that is supported by the device specs. The tablet reportedly has a 6.4mm thickness and a 1.1 lb weight.

Powering the tablet will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage. It will also have an 8,300 mAh battery with support for 40W wired charging.
The tablet will start at a price of CNY 2,899 or around Php 22,937 (direct conversion).
There’s no official word yet on whether the MatePad Air will be launched internationally but we’ll keep you posted.
