Lenovo showcased bendable devices — C Plus and Folio

Listen to article

It’s not only the Moto Z series and Lenovo Phab 2 line-up that was announced at Lenovo’s Tech World as the company also showcased a tech that we only were hoping for before. Bendable screen? Check. Full functioning OS? Check. Awesomeness? Check.

While everything is still in its prototype stages, the C Plus smartphone and Folio tablet were able to wow us. The devices are living proofs of the next stages of mobile computing, and that’s with bendable displays which then allows us to wear it or fold it as we please.

The C Plus can embrace your wrist and function pretty well even when already curved while the Folio presents itself to be a multi-purpose, multi-display slate that instantly transforms from a phone to a tablet by just laying it flat.

As mentioned, the two are just prototypes of what to expect in the future. With more research and development, we’ll be seeing similar types of device for commercial release very soon.

About time for foldable screens. With this, tablets (small tablets at least) will be relegated to obscurity. Now we can have very pocketable phones with big screens!
