Microsoft's Bing Search Engine

Microsoft’s Bing Search Engine

Microsoft may have found the right formula for their search service. Their Bing search engine gives some pretty promising results.

Microsoft have had many attempts at making search right and while Bing is fairly new, it’s noticeably better than its previous iterations. It loads fast and results are fairly relevant (although much fewer results compared to Google and Yahoo).

They will still be hard-pressed to cut a sizable amount of user searches but at least Bing doesn’t turn off people away like the Live search used to.

Better late than never.

the question now would be, why? oh well time for microsoft to start integrating its search engine with its OS and browsers and everything and move people away from Google

As much as I like Google, I hate getting monopolized so a new search engine is always welcome to me. And Bing actually looks really useful and better in some ways to Google search. They just need more time to index more pages so there’ll be more relevant results. I use it now for quick searches.

  4. it looks cool! hopefully they can come up with better results.

Microsoft is playing catch up again but Google’s already changed the game with Google Wave.

  12. I don’t think Bing can catch up with Google. I got so used to Google that I don’t want to try anything else. And I believe that most people would agree with me.

I tried to check my position for some of the popular keywords on my blog and I can’t even see it anywhere on Bing.

Anyway, if they’ll be successful, I still don’t like the sound of it…
A: Where did you read about that news?
B: I can’t remember eh. Just Bing it.

LOLz. “I Binged my popular keywords but my site’s not on the results eh.”

I find it odd that when I searched “bing” in, it did not return any result per tainingto the website. But when I googled it, was the first result

  15. yeah suddenly, Windows decides they need to get into search again, after how many tries. Microsoft just doesn’t get the web, they need to stick to fixing Windows. As much as I wish there was another competitor, Yahoo isn’t much competition either….

  16. Onynz says:

    Not my cup of tea…

MS should stick with their OS… and yeah Google wave is the next wave.. :D

  17. Onynz says:

MS should just stick to their OS…

Why doesn’t Bing appear right with my connection? It only shows me a rebranded LIVE search and not the real Bing website. Is my case an isolated case?

  21. Huwow says:

    SO it it or

    Come on MS, decide. Sheesh.

  22. Huwow says:

Oh and try to compare search results for “bing sucks” LMAO.

  23. Kymm says:

i think that Bing is not as good as Google. Google would still index new websites faster than Bing. Microsoft would still need a lot of catching to do with GoogleBot.

  24. I use both Bing and Google search engine and i dont see much difference in their search results. I use google for searching hard to find academic topics and Bing for general search.

  25. Somebody essentially help to make seriously articles I would state. This is the first time I frequented your website page and thus far? I amazed with the research you made to make this particular publish incredible. Fantastic job!
