Blackberry OS 10.1 update headed for Z10

It looks like Blackberry isn’t resting on its laurels for one bit as it has been speculated that an OS update for the Blackberry Z10 is imminent and said to be released alongside the debut of the Q10.

Dubbed as Blackberry OS 10.1, the update is not your typical bug-fix, system optimization upgrade. It’s said to bring a handful of improvements to the all-touch handset in almost all aspect. Here’s a rundown of the things that BB OS 10.1 brings to the table:

• BlackBerry Mobile Voice System Support
• Keyboard Shortcuts
• BlackBerry Balance
• Word Prediction
• Type N Go
• Corporate Liable Feature
• Cross Domain Email Warnings
• Dark Theme Support
• Out-of-Box-Experience
• Smartcard Support

The update is also said to bring improvements in the camera side including faster performance and the ability to capture HDR pictures. Other enhancements include sending PIN messages from Blackberry Hub, ability to access phone files from PC using Blackberry Link and UI and keyboard changes.

    will this update affect the installed sideloaded applications on my z10? hmm

    I think it is just wrong that my carrier shows the z10 with Skype, on TV commericals as if we already have it when we don’t. I think someone there at my carrier show have their private parts squeezed real hard to understand the pain we feel not being able to use Skype. I have family in other parts of the world and need Skype on my z10.
