Final Fantasy lands on Windows Phone 7

Listen to article

If you own a WP device and happen to be an avid fan of the award-winning media franchise from Square Enix, then you’d certainly enjoy this treat. Final Fantasy I/Origin is now available for download on WP Marketplace. Check out more details after the break.

This WP-version of Final Fantasy isn’t really new. This version of the game is based on the PSP version which was released in 2007 and is the same version of the game initially available in the Apple App Store some two years ago. That’s how delayed this game is in terms of release.

On the brighter side, due to the limited number of apps in Windows Marketplace, this highly regarded RPG is certainly a rare treat. In addition, there are going to be two bonus dungeons (Soul of Chaos and Labyrinth of Time) in the later versions of the game. On the Xbox Live Mobile Marketplace website it is hinted that this game will just be the first of many Final Fantasy games to come.

If the fact that the game is a bit outdated doesn’t disappoint you then its price might. The full version of this game costs Windows Phone users $6.99, which is almost Php300. That’s too pricey if ask us. So we suggest playing the free trial version of the game first to see if it’s worth your hard-earned cash. You can download the game here.

It’s also worth mentioning that the game requires at least 91MB of free space on your phone’s scarce memory. This can also be a possible deal breaker since WP devices is known for limited storage capacity due to lack of support for memory expansion.

For more information about the game, especially the gameplay you can hit the source link. You can also give us your thoughts about the game and your experience if ever you did install the game.

Since it’s an XboxLive game, PH MP is not yet supported. How bout reviewing some o the best apps from the PH MP, because I know that most of the readers of this blog are Filipino. :) Well, that’s just a suggestion.

That’s the “Free & none-legit” version. if you wish to make your game collections legit you might as well buy it.

Well then good for you. Some will at least consider it. This aims for those who are a fan of the series and for the sake of nostalgia.
