Symbian Belle is now available for a number of Nokia smartphones, starting with the Nokia N8, E7, E6, C7 and several others.

Symbian Belle is now available for a number of Nokia smartphones, starting with the Nokia N8, E7, E6, C7 and several others. The software update was made available in the Philippines starting February 7.

Updating your Nokia smartphone is pretty simple and straightforward. Just make sure you have the Nokia PC Suite 3.3 (or higher) to activate the software update.

According to Nokia, the following handsets are now available for the update in the Philippines:

* Nokia C6-01
* Nokia C7-00
* Nokia E6-00
* Nokia E7-00
* Nokia N8-00
* Nokia X7-00

Was able to update my Nokia E7 to Symbian Belle in about 30 minutes. The device felt a bit snappier and the UI has completely changed after the update to Belle.

will some1 help me with my N8 kc im running now on Symbian Belle pero yung â€˜split screenâ€™ for messages and searching for contacts, etc. ay nawalaâ€¦i switched to Belle since Feb pero lately ko lng napansin na wala na pala yung â€œsplit screenâ€ which i had before sa Anna..

also with Symbian Belle whenever I receieve SMS message at naka lock yung N8 fon ay matagal bago ma-open yung new messageâ€¦but there are times na mabilis din or ok langâ€¦so i donâ€™t know wat is wrong with my N8â€¦Thanks for any helpâ€¦!

hindi na gumagana ang mobile data ko.. bawa try ko mag net using mobile data connection ERRor ung lumalabas! Wala sa aus ang belle

yung connection mo ang probl;em hindi yung belle update… ang problem lang nya eh mabilis ma-drain yung battery but everything is working okay.

Hi,

Anyone who experiencing issues setting up email? Whenever I place my email address and password, nothing happened and it just went back to the setup screen again and again.

Also, I cannot seem to launch Nokia Social. It would go as far as “Getting services” but also to no success, just keep on getting error message “Network is not available”

It can’t be network related since I can successfully use the web browser. Im using a SMART SIM.

Does anyone here know how to resolve this. It’s a pity that essential applications like email and social is not working after the long awaited Nokia Belle update.

@Welsh, *#0000#, check your product code and check the list of product codes that already have the Nokia Belle update. Operator variants of the N8 don’t have the update yet.

Hi M,

thank you for responding.
Yup, I did that too.

What actually happened was when I opened Nokia suite, I was able to see it and was able to download the belle update.
unfortunately the download was not able to finish due to server error thing.

when I tried to download the Belle update again. I no longer see that update option in my suite.

do you have any advise how I can resolve it?

try downloading the latest nokia suite as said by the admin… in will not work on your phone alone you need to connect it to pc because it will download 275mb. hope this helps. thanks

you can only update using computer via nokia suite because it will download 275mb update. try downloading new nokia suite at nokia.com

I have just upgraded my Nokia N8 from Symbian Anna to Belle.
And here are my observations so far:
1. Better and more polished UI.
2. All of the folders that I created to organize my apps according to category are now gone so lahat ng apps ko ngayon ay halo-halo na sa main menu (whether preinstalled or downloaded from the Nokia (Ovi) Store since wala nang predefined folders sa Belle. Pero pwede ka pa ring mag-create ng folder.
3. Pull down menu (ala Android)
4. Napansin ko rin medyo bumagal ng konti yung response ng device ko kasi sa tingin ko mas snappy yung Symbian Anna.
