Twitter for Android receives Material Design update

Twitter for Android users will soon be greeted by a refreshed interface on their app thanks to the update rolling out now worldwide.

The update brings a streamlined UI using the Material Design guideline of Google thus making your experience consistent among new Android apps. What’s new for the update? Here’s what Twitter listed on their blog:

  • Tab bar at the top of the screen with swipe functionality so you can quickly move between your Home timeline, Notifications, Direct Messages, and more.
  • Navigation menu that slides out from the side for access to your profile, Highlights, lists, the Connect tab, and settings.
  • New floating action button so you can always easily send a Tweet.

The update is gradually seeding to multiple users. Expect the update to arrive at your phone soon.
