Waze allows record and use of own voice for navigation

There have been options from celebrities but now the Waze navigation voice can be anyone you want, including yourself.

The latest update of the popular navigation app now includes a voice recorder to make your own custom direction prompts. Make sure to get the latest Waze update and head over to the settings menu and choose “Sound & voice” and then “Voice recorder.”

There are a number of phrases you have to record but just in case you skip one, the default Waze voice will be used. Of course, you don’t have to use your own voice. Maybe you want to have your kids guide you, friends, or loved ones.

You will not get the full street name prompts as you do with pre-recorded AI voices from Waze but it’ll be fun for a custom voice to guide you during a trip.

If you don’t have Waze, you may download it here: Android, iOS
