Alcatel has announced its latest Android tablet with an optional 3G module, the 7-inch Alcatel One Touch Evo7. The One Touch Evo7 is Alcatel's first "modular" tablet because of its removable "3G module" that quickly provides the tablet with 3G connectivity. However, if you are open to trying out a new interface, I'm sure you'll enjoy the intuitive touch screen of the iPhone. In iPod mode, the iPhone makes it a little hard to navigate between songs as controls are done via touchscreen. Without the iPhone, we would not have seen the likes of Samsung Instinct, Omnia i900, HTC Touch Diamond, LG Dare and Sony-Ericsson Xperia this early. I had 4 most likely candidates as a great iPhone alternative -- the HTC Touch Diamond, Nokia N96, Samsung i900 Omnia and the Sony-Ericsson Xperia. My choices were mostly based on large-screen, touchscreen smartphones -- one major area where the iPhone claims supremacy. I guess they'd rather keep their existing phones and just get an iPod Touch.
