Samsung has introduced a new Digital Home Key feature in Samsung Wallet that allows Samsung Galaxy users to unlock compatible smart door locks using their smartphones. With Digital Home Key, users can unlock their doors using their Galaxy phone once the smart lock is set up through Samsung SmartThings and supports the Matter smart home standard. The feature is built on Aliro, a smart lock communication standard developed by the Connectivity Standards Alliance. Several smart lock brands are working with Samsung to support the feature, including Aqara, Nuki, Schlage, and Xthings. Samsung said support for the feature will expand as more compatible smart locks become available.
