Spotify released a feature called "Jam" a couple of years ago to allow multiple people to pick and queue music from their own devices, without touching the host phone or the Bluetooth speaker. This feature hasn't been migrated to car-based platforms such as Android Auto, requiring a Bluetooth connection (the old way) to make use of the feature. Spotify Jam is finally being added to Android Auto as a built-in feature. This is a huge step from asking the driver (or co-driver) to queue certain music for them (or passing around the smartphone, which is especially a hassle for WIRED Android Auto users). It is rumored that the tech giant is looking into the most-used apps on Android Auto and examining ways to streamline daily use.
